As an Industrial Designer, you'll be an integral part of our expanding Design team, contributing to our ongoing business growth. Based in our Guangzhou office and reporting into our Head of Design in London, you will help shape the aesthetic vision of our products, ensuring a balance of style and user experience. Your role will cover everything from designing new products from the ground up, to creating impactful visuals, both static and animated, to effectively showcase our products online.
Key Responsibilities:
-Shape the look and feel of our range of consumer products across different categories, with more of a focus on home appliances. Ensure each product range has a consistent and appealing design that matches our brand values and guidelines, while also being practical and functional
-Own the product design process from concept to final mass production.
-Collaborate with factories to implement design concepts effectively, while addressing manufacturing costs, time constraints and resource requirements.
-Collaborate with multiple teams, including Purchasing, Sales, and Marketing, to understand our sales and pricing strategies for new product launches.
-Create accurate, high-quality sketches, 3D models, and prototypes to communicate proof of concept to key stakeholders and senior management, ensuring design feasibility and manufacturability.
-Develop 3D textures and surfaces for high quality and photorealistic render outputs.
-Generate high quality static renders and 3D animations for various purposes, including manufacture/production and online content creation.
-Act as the main liaison for all product design between our manufacturing partners and our London and China offices.
-Stay up to date on industry trends, materials, and technologies to incorporate the latest advancements into product designs.
